LONAVALA, MAHARASHTRA
Lonavala is every Mubaikar’s true love. Located in the Western Ghats of Maharashtra, this tiny hill station is has some of the most mesmerising waterfalls in the country along with beautiful climate. The Tiger Point is one of the many sunset points in Lonavala. Go here in the evenings to witness the breathtaking sunset which casts many hues over green mountains with waterfalls. Do this while you eat your hot and spicy ‘bhutta’.

Monsoon is the best time to explore Goa beyond its pristine beaches and picturesque landscapes. Dudhsagar Falls is one such place to get a thrill of the rainy weather. Situated in the southern part of Goa – Mollem and in close proximity to the Karnataka border, Dudhsagar waterfall is picture perfect with thriving green forests. From a distance, the waterfall looks like the flow of milk down the mountains and hence, the name Dudhsagar, literally meaning ‘Sea of Milk’. Don’t forget to take a dip in the refreshing cool water while embracing nature.

Munnar during the monsoons is nothing short of a nature lover’s paradise. Get welcomed by mist induced rolling tea gardens and spice plantation with dewdrops rolling from the leaves and branches. AGUMBE, KARNATAKA
One of the most popular treks in South India, the mountains and valleys here are filled with numerous waterfalls which are a prime attraction. This is coupled with ruins of temples dating back to the Hoysala Empire, which is worth a visit. There is a gallery erected on a high point of the hills to view the sunset and you can see as far as the Arabian Sea. If the scenes in Agumbe seem much too familiar to you; it’s because it served as a setting to the famous TV adaption of the book Malgudi Days.
SHILLONG, MEGHALAYA
Surrounded by picturesque valleys of Khasi and Jayanti hills and adorned by numerous waterfalls, Shillong offers a panoramic view of green natural scenery when it receives rainfall. Do not miss the David Scott Trail, which is an old trekking route that is counted amongst the most famous ones in Meghalaya.
